Move aside Google Maps, the future of navigation is just three words
A great story from Tim Lee at The Inquirer
MAPPING SERVICES have changed the world. It’s as simple as that. It wasn’t too long ago that stopping and asking someone for directions when you were lost was the only way to get to the place you needed to be. And if you got really desperate, you’d source a paper map and try to find your destination the old way.
Thank goodness those days are gone for most of us owing to the likes of Google Maps, Apple Maps, Nokia Here, Waze, or any number of navigation services that are available thanks to recent advances in technology.
However, even when these mapping apps navigate you to a place they think is correct, they aren’t always accurate.
