FAQs
Most of our customers live in very rural locations, will the what3words app still work if connection is limited?
Without phone signal, the app functions the same as when you have no data connection: you can view the location of any what3words address you enter. You can also navigate to it using compass mode.
To share a what3words address over the phone or in a text message you need phone signal. To load maps, or share in other apps or social media, you need a data connection.

My e-commerce store runs on a different platform to your plugins, can I still use what3words?
As long as your e-commerce platform allows for customisation of your checkout page, we recommend using our JavaScript Autosuggest Component. This just involves adding a script and an HTML element to the page. See this tutorial for help.
Alternatively, you can ask customers to enter their what3words address in the ‘Delivery instructions’ field at checkout, with the wording ‘Add any additional information for the driver or a what3words address’. While it’s a good option, you will not benefit from the AutoSuggest technology, so we recommend a full integration for the best results.
