what3words is revolutionising the way the world talks about location. Street addresses aren’t accurate enough to specify specific entrances, and they don’t exist for parks, rural areas and many parts of the world. This causes frustration, inefficiencies and can be dangerous.

That’s why we created what3words.

We have divided the globe into a grid of 3m x 3m squares, and given each one a unique combination of three words: a what3words address. It’s an easy way to find and share precise locations.

what3words is being used in 193 countries, and our monthly active users continue to grow at an impressive pace. Our tech is used by thousands of emergency services, delivery companies, eCommerce businesses, ride-hailing apps and NGOs, and is integrated into the navigation systems of millions of cars around the world.

We are looking for highly entrepreneurial, determined and charismatic individuals to help us achieve our mission - people who have performed outstandingly in previous roles (we don’t measure success by your former job titles but instead what you achieved in those positions) and are likely to have an accelerated career trajectory when compared against their peers.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced senior leader, who has run successful Customer Success / Partner Success programmes in a previous role. Joining our growing business development team as our Head of Partner Success, you will drive forward and forge key relationships for what3words with our existing partners around the world. You will be an outstanding individual contributor and leader, motivated by a challenge, with creativity and problem solving matched by extremely strong people skills.

We are looking for someone who can actively account manage our most important clients across our key verticals around the world, to upsell them new opportunities to increase usage of what3words and grow revenue. We need someone who can build and manage a team, as well as work closely with others in our business development team, particularly in local markets, to design and scale a partner success function for all our key clients, from SMEs to some of the world’s biggest companies.

The role will be highly cross-functional, you will be expected to work closely with teams across the business and manage internal senior stakeholders from day 1.

This role is highly demanding and there may be international travel required. You’ll be expected to meet challenging targets, but you’ll reap the rewards of them too.

Requirements

  • Experience in a senior customer success, account management or equivalent role
  • Experience building and managing target driven teams with high performance expectations
  • Experience managing high-level stakeholders in client companies (e.g. CXOs, Board, investors etc.)
  • Experience in internal management of cross-functional senior stakeholders and C-Suite level reporting
  • Determined to have an impact as an individual contributor
  • Extremely tech-savvy (preferably you will have worked with technology, or sold a technology product)
  • Able to engage immediately and confidently with senior influencers
  • An exceptional relationship builder
  • A natural collaborator who enjoys working in a team with clever and ambitious colleagues
  • Highly persuasive and excellent at getting things done
  • Willing to embrace all aspects of working in a fast-growing business, from managing day-to-day admin to giving speeches to global audiences or pitching CXOs from some of the world’s biggest brands
  • Able to excel under pressure, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to travel regularly, including at short notice
  • Motivated by challenging targets and a fast-paced office environment
  • Commercially-minded and committed to global social change through business
  • Excellent at managing and communicating complex data


Extra credit if you

  • Have run your own business or held a senior role in a fast-growing start-up
  • Have had a sales role in the past
  • Speak other languages and have done business abroad or travelled widely
  • Can provide excellent references from colleagues as well as supervisors in your current/previous roles
  • Have successfully sold something completely new and revolutionary
  • Excellent command of spreadsheet and CRM software
