Azimap is a simple web-based GIS that allows users to create, analyse and share Geospatial Data on rich interactive maps. Launched in March 2016 by Cianad Software Ltd, a sister company of Mallon Technology , Azimap is specifically designed for smaller companies who do not have large technical teams, dedicated GIS professionals or the budget for expensive software applications.

Azimap can help the inexperienced user get the most from their information, giving them the ability to create and publish customised maps, from heat maps to viewing crime statistics or creating routes for marathons, through to planning and logistics maps to identify efficient delivery routes. It is specifically designed as mobile first; to work on any device, such as a tablet or mobile.

No matter where you gather and how you use geographic information, a simple way to refer to locations is essential. While lat/long coordinates are accurate they are unwieldy and error-prone when transcribing and communicating them, especially to people who are not GIS experts. To solve this Azimap has integrated what3words.

what3words is the simplest way to talk about location. It has divided the world into 3m x 3m squares, each with a unique 3 word address. The system is easier to remember and communicate than GPS, more flexible than dropping a pin and more accurate than street addressing. It is a universal and human-friendly system.

With the Azimap platform, users can search using 3 word addresses and display them for any key points of interest. It means everyone can make the most of their geographic data, and can simply and efficiently communicate any specific location in the world.
