Loqate, a GBG solution, powers the most comprehensive global location data on the market . In a revolutionary move, it has integrated what3words. Now, customers will be able to input their what3words address in the checkout field, for a faster, more precise delivery experience.

GBG’s location intelligence solution, Loqate, is used by over 15,000 businesses around the world, including Ralph Lauren, ASOS and GymShark. It is able to validate delivery addresses in real-time, giving a seamless checkout experience for consumers and an accurate data service for online retailers.

Loqate has integrated what3words to enhance location data for retailers and logistic companies around the world, enabling them to reach everyone more easily, even those in poorly addressed, ‘hard-to-find’ markets.

The collaboration means that as well as access to Loqate’s suite of location-based services, retailers – big and small – will now be able to offer the option of a what3word checkout field, which means that every specific delivery location – side doors, back entrance doors, delivery spots and loading bays – can be communicated in just three words. By providing more accurate and human-friendly addressing data, logistics companies will be able to deliver to the correct place, first time, and without the need for asking for additional directions.

David Green, Managing Director at Loqate, a GBG Solution, says: “As consumers, we demand more from our online services than ever before – we expect everything to be quick, easy and convenient. Slick customer experience and trust has never been more important.

At Loqate, we take pride in being at the centre of the location universe, providing the world’s most trusted location data. Working with innovators and valued partners like what3words, means our customers don’t need to integrate multiple technologies into their online checkouts or systems. They can get all the location data they need through our single technology platform, Loqate.

We’re delighted to partner with what3words, a company that’s mission is very close to our own of helping every business in the world reach every customer in the world.”

Chris Sheldrick, Co-Founder and CEO at what3words, says, ““We are very excited about the potential of our partnership with GBG – a global leader in location technologies.

By integrating what3words into its location intelligence solution, Loqate, GBG has removed the barrier that prohibits logistics companies fulfilling seamless deliveries the world over: imprecise addressing. Now, ecommerce platforms can offer faster and more reliable deliveries to precise 3 word addresses, anywhere around the world.”
